Unfortunately the average ALS patient does not know how to do medical research and doesn't have much money to spend on therapeutics. (Insurance won't pay for ALS therapeutics, it's cash out of pocket.) Furthermore the average ALS patient does not have a medical doctor who knows anything about ALS therapeutics; or if the doctor does, the doctor will not apply that knowledge to help the patient. |
