At that time I didn't know anyone else who'd done this type of protocol and frankly my expectations were low. During the fall, symptoms were highly variable but my worst days were no worse than they had been earlier in the year, and on good days I decided not to use the crutches any time I didn't really have to. By November the respiratory impairment (diaphragm involvement) was gone. By December most of the time I didn't need crutches. |
