ALS is not "a disease", it is a collection of many different diseases, a fact better grasped by replacing the misleading acronym "ALS" with "Motor Neuron Disease". There are credible reports of varying degrees of therapeutic success, mostly with cocktail approaches that have a lot in common with the Prole Prote. And, reports of no apparent benefit as well. Some of this variability in results is obviously attributable to the fact that every DIY'er does their cocktail differently, but some has to be attributable to variability in what disease is actually afflicting the patient. And the patient rarely knows what disease that is, other than that is some kind of nebulous "ALS" thing. |
